I look back at all the other cars honda produced in 1992 and none compare to the weight of the lude. All of them are hundreds of lbs lighter. What is with the prelude, why are we so heavy to begin with? I mean we are only about 5 inches longer, 2 inches wider, and we are shorter than the civics of that era.

What makes us so heavy, why would a 2 seater be heavier than a 5 seater, does that make sense. ( I know ludes are 4 seaters but have you seen the back seat).

Any help on this issue?

Because civics are tin buckets. Have you ever noticed how much more enjoyable it is riding in a prelude than it is in a civic?

Traction bars, larger motors, rear disk brakes, sun roof, power everything, etc, etc all adds up.

 

are you kidding? a prelude is way bigger than a civic...and it has a heavier motor.There's not much else to say the prelude is very light for a sports/luxury coupe.

 

all i gotta say is 2.2 litres...
this aint no 1.6 or 1.7 or 1.8
