2 questions, please help???
Well just the other day, my friend told me that I need to replace the fuel pump. He opened the top of the fuel filter as I was cranking and fuel barely dripps and he tried from the bottum and it barely drips also. So he asked me to get a new fuel pump. He said by openning fuel filter gas should squirt out. Today, I decided to start the car and it started right up, now my question is can it be the fuel pump? by the way my car runs better, no bogging if I advance the distributor, but if I put it on normal then the car bogs like it's not feeding enough gas. Another question, oil is dripping from the under the distributor???could it came from the insert part to the cam???if so how can I come about fixing???
OK, one at a time...
Maybe your fuel pump is just starting to get flaky? Sometimes it works OK, but eventually it'll be out to lunch permanently. You should check out the circuit that powers the pump, first. Before you replace the pump find out whether the real problem is a corroded electrical connection...
How are you adjusting your timing? Got a timing light? Are you jumpering the SCS connector?
If you take the distributor out from the head, there's an O-ring around the part that sticks into the head. Sounds like that's leaking. It's not too expensive, even at a dealer. Don't get one from a plumbing store, it has to work OK with hot oil...

thanks a lot. Yeah you are right. I will check out the wires today. As far as for the timing, I dont' know how to mess with the timing gun. So I did the easiest, push the distributor towards the fire wall. When I do this my car seem to respond better, with better fuel flow but if I put it back to center, it runs like its not feeding enough gas.
Well, without a timing light, you don't know where you're at or where you're going with the timing. You really should get one.
It makes sense that it runs better advanced. Until the detonation messes it up for good. Is it a '94 GSR like your screen name? If so it has a knock sensor. So maybe you're sorta safe?
How about other tune-up stuff? How old are the spark plugs, wires, cap & rotor?

yeah it's a 94 gsr. I will advance with timing gun soon. But finally solved all the problem on my car. Changed the fuel pump and the car runs fine now and also bought new o ring on distributor, leak stoped. thanks for everything
