Default anybody know steering gear ratios for eg civics/ dc tegs?

Looking to find a quicker ratio rack for my 1994 civic EX. Anyone know if '94+ GSR/ITR/?? had quicker ratio steering? I'm assuming an integra rack will fit a civic(?)...

on a related note, does anybody know if changing caster settings affects your turning radius? I'm assuming it does, as you're leaning the steering axis inclination away from vertical (like turning a chopper bike as opposed to a regular steering bike)?? dunno- anyone?

thx for any help

They are actually very close, keep the M/S and save weight. Don't be fooled by turns to lock when comparing the two. You need to determine the stroke/turn for each. I measured them both a couple weeks ago and like I said above they are very close.

what's close, the civic vs. integra racks? I already have p/s in my car (civic EX) so thats why i was thinking GSR/ITR/??...

I found the steering ratio for my car in the service manual: 17.5:1 -I think thats pretty high, the one I have in my Typhoon is like 12.7:1

Anybody know specs of anything quicker?

specs (off the top of my head, i have everything at home) are as follows:

94-01 dc2 all: 16:1 (2.98 turns ltl)
92-95 civic p/s 17.5:1 (3.58 turns ltl)
92-95 civic non p/s 19:1 (4 turns ltl)

96-00 civic p/s 17.7:1
96-00 civic non p/s 20.3:1! (it was something over 20:1, i forget the exact ratio)

EEEWW!!! :horrified:

so all dc2 tegs have same ratio?
I can't believe even ITRs have the same ratio as the base models

what about JDM/Euro/Canadian models- ie CTRs,etc?

That explains the huge dead feeling when I drive a buddy's M/S EK and jump into my PS rack equipped 5th gen.

And yet it feels even better when I get into my DC2.

We're all using MOMO 350mm steering wheels too.

I seem to remember getting 3.5 turns to lock before I took an ITR P/S rack apart.
