At the end of the summer I'm having my SI engine taken out and throwing in a JDM H22AG1 in it. I wanna do some performance upgrades before that. My question is what are all my possiblities of performance upgrades, perferably hp boosting, that are avalible for me to where I don't have to worry about changing or modifing when I get the swap....you know what i mean. I don't wanna get any upgrades if i'm just gonna turn around and have to modify them after the swap. any and all suggestions are welcome. thanx

 

if i were u, which i was before i did my swap, i would just save the money man. when u do your swap it will end up costing u more then u think and you will be stuck. take it from someone who knows, save as much as u can before you start a swap like this. its the little things that will kill you and end up holding you up. my car has been down since december b/c of money issues.

if you know your def doing the swap and your getting a used jdm h22, go out and get a new timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, wires, new axles and all that good stuff.

good point. yeah you're advice is meaningful especially since you're undergoing(went) what sounds like a simular situation.

so exactly what all has to be modified when i change from a H23 to an h22? all those thing you mentioned would you it would be better to get those before or after tha swap?

 

what the hay is an H22AG1?

 

H22AG1...as in h22 for the 1 generation (92-96) of h22a model versus the second generation (97-01)
