I just got a God Speed test pipe and I'm so pissed! He said it would fit with my headers and exhaust but it doesn't. The stupid test pipe is about 2 inches too long!
And the stupid O2 opening sits so high I couldn't get the O2 sensor in.

What a stupid design!!!!!!!

Does anyone else have this problem?

its made for JDM ITR's... you'll have to have the complete JDM exhaust

 

Its not that bad. Just cut it down to size and pay somebody 20 bucks to weld it.

Good luck with your car. Try to stay positive. Its only like $5 to have your bung in your pipe moved for the o2 also.

Dan never fixed those? They are waaay to long, but he'll deny it.

Mine's coming off here in a few weeks and I'm shipping it back to him so that HE can pay to have it modified. We should not have to do that because he advertised it as a perfect fit.

 

yesterday i went to the hardware store and bought some 2.5" pipe, cut the flanges off of my stock cat, bored them out a little, welded it all together, and now i have a 5.00 test pipe that works great, and still has the stoch heat shield on it.

 

Just go and have it cut and when they weld it back together, just have them rotate so the O2 sensor sits sideways. Had mine done yesterday

 

I shortenned it already from the first production runs by about an inch.

 

Todd he does deny it and he writes that he's never heard of this complaint before. What a f-ing liar!!!

Dan why do you lie like a little bitch? Try fitting the pipe on a type R and see for youself.

Hrm.....

Well, I have the godspeed test pipe and it fits perfect... I've got a toda header and using the stock exhaust for now... Mated up fine first try. You're right, the o2 sensor is a little tight on the wires... But remember that most aftermarket **** isn't going to be perfect anyway... Why not just get a high flow cat anyway? That's what you'll eventually do when you get sick of the dirty bumper and smell all the time...

What is your setup, btw? Most people are right on here: if you just get it shortened and have the tri-flange rotated maybe 5-10 degrees, it'll fit perfect...

 

Im running JDM header to stock exhaust and the test pipe on mine fits fine too... like he said tho the wires are alittle tight on the O2 sensor.

 

I have the old Godspeed test pipe, and it was about 3/4 inch too long for my Si

I used an adjustable rubber hanger that I found in Japan to reposition my Mugen twinloop and the fitment is fine now.

Relax guys; first of all I had one and I got mine on, so it can't be that bad.

Second, we have discussed this issue, so really you should have searched or asked some people on the board, that's what we are here for

However, Dan should have the thing fixed by now. How many people have complained and said the pipe is waaaay too long.

I am sure if you want Dan would take the pipe back and have it fixed for you; he seems like a pretty reasonable guy when I dealt with him.

 

If I remember right I paid 150 for mine, I got it from Goodspeed. It fits fine but it still should be shorten about 3/4 an inch to fit perfectly and the o2 sensor is a little off-its a little to close to the shifter linkage. Other then that all the holes lined up great. Also this is my second Godspeed test pipe and on my other one the o2 senser was in the right spot and on the one in my car right now its a little off. I dont think he has a standard place for the o2 senser when there getting built. People have to remember that 99.9% of aftermaket parts never fit perfectly. If he gets those two lilttle things fixed, he will have a great quality test pipe.

 

Have you asked Dan to exchange the pipe for one of his new (shortened) versions?

You've stated this already. Why don't you see if he will fix it for you. Try to be somewhat polite too; I realize you are angry, from Dan's point of view, it's a lot easier to screw over someone who is an *******, rather than someone who is trying to be nice and get things worked out.

 

In that case, I think you have a legitimate right to complain.
