89 mpfi hf motor in 90 civic dpfi std
im putting a hf motor in a 90 civic b/c the engine blew. I have the complete hf motor and ecu left over from my crx swap. im going to the junkyard tommorow and if i find a hf complete wiring harness from the ecu all the way to the engine there would be no reason to do the dpfi-mpfi. correct? i already have the resistor box i just looking for any reason so i dont have to do any splicing, adding wire, and soldering. plus the hf has that weird thing on the i/m (mybe egr of dashpot) that no other engine has. and i dont know what pin to add that wire or how to hook it up? any suggestions would be helpful.
i guess the only wire harness options i have are 89-91 civic/crx si & crx hf. so i pray i can get one for a cheap price.
Well.. You can do this but your looking at a shitload of work.. I might do this to my car but its also gutted with no dashboard or anything.. Thats why its alot eaiser to just convert to mpfi with the harness you have..
