Default clicking noise from cam gears normal?

i had the side of my valve cover cut off to have the cam gears and such shown..when the cars on idle there seems to be a clicking noise from the cam gears area..a valve adjustment was done but its still there..is it normal?..i cant hear it when i close the hood though, but the timing belt seems to be spinning quite hard as can be seen from front left wheel area underneath..

I wouldn't think that it would be normal, but could be. What kind of cam gears did you install? I was going to say that it sounds like your valves ticking, but you said that you did an adjustment. I've also heard somewhere about fuel injectors making a ticking sound sometimes, although it doesn't really seem like that would make much sense in this case.

valves usually click, you may also be hearing your injectors, they click aswell, but a little clicking from the valves is normal
