hey guys im getting a constant sqeeking noise from the rear of the car. and sometimes when i pull into my driveway at an angle or reverse onto the driveway i get a LOUD snapping or popping noise, umm its hard to explain, i'm assuming the spring is shifting when one side is compressed and the other isn't, and when they level out the spring is snapping into place????? does that make sense??? there cheap adjustable springs that were on the car when i bought it. any help would be great!! thanks
it could also be your rear trailing arm bushings...mine made a popping noise when i would hit bumps...your best bet is to lift up one side and check around to see if anything is worn or broken...
i actually had the same problem. i have a 94 accord with eibach sportlines and bilstein struts. what my problem was is that when i would hit a bump, the springs would bounce and hit the top of the strut. its hard to explain. on the top of the strut, there is that one top part that connects the strut to the car with those 2 bolts. well before u put that top part on the strut again, there is a rubber piece on it, well on mines, the rubber piece moved to the side, so when i would hit a bump, the spring would hit the top part of the strut which was metal on metal, all i did was put the rubber piece to where it normaly is so now it hits rubber and metal which eliminates the noise. hope that helps you some.
