Stock Intakes: Integra LS vs. Type-R
I searched around for this and couldn't find any info neither here or on google. What are the differences between the stock LS intake system and the Type-R intake system? Which is better and why? And will the Type-R intake system fit onto an LS?
Thanks for the help!

you're alive
I still remember that jenna jameson picture in your sig back in the day
There's a diagram around somewhere. Basically the ITR intake system is more direct, the opening is straight and not bent.

Besides that alone, the intake pipe diameter is larger for the Type-R And the TB/IM on the LS is located differently.

I think that you could make it work... but you would need to tighten the clamp on the throttle body down quite a bit.

Hmmm...only reason I ask is I'm selling my stock intake on eBay and I had this question come up from a prospective buyer that owns an LS. If you honestly think that it might work then I'll tell him, but if there are any doubts I don't want to sell him something he can't use.

The airbox was virtually identical iirc. The Resonator box was similar but not exactly the same as illustrated above. It was the rubber intake arm from the airbox to the TB/IM that was the difference obviously diameter was bigger for the R and again iirc, the LS pipe might be a bit longer. Personally I don't think it's really worth it and don't see any gains for an LS. Ya might just want to hold onto it till another R owner goes back to stock and is missing the parts.
Best of luck regardless.
