Honda Prelude All Model Preludes

Taking OEM intake resonator box out. Need help ASAP

Default Taking OEM intake resonator box out. Need help ASAP

Hey guys, I am in the final stages of getting my resonator box out. I took the two screws off. It feels loose but if wont come out. What's holding it in??


Any advice??

theres a 3rd bolt between the resonator box and the front bumper/fender

take the turn signal out and pull th bumper out slightly from the wheel well and you should be able to see it a lil bit


good luck though it is DEF a PITA to get a wrench or socket around that bolt

mines came out easy....i had my bumper out when i did it...but there is a 3rd bolt...

so you don't have to take your bumper off to get the resonator out?

nope....just that undercover....but i needed to take out my bumper, so i did it liek that...took me like 5 mins.....taking out the bumper took me about and hour....lol

I took the bumper screw out and pulled it back a little. It was actually pretty easy to get to once I pulled the bumper panel away a little. I could then see where the bolt was.

yeah...i never thought of pulling the bumper partly out so i just got pissed and ripped the resonator box out then undid that screw. hehe...not the smartest way to do it.

wait,so how do you take it out without taking out the bumper? Which under cover are you refereing to?

http://www.ntpog.org go to the "mods" section, the removal of the resonator is under "installing an after-market intake"

That's exactly where I got my install instructions from. However, the 4th Gen is a little different.
