Some pics of the Full Race / Leone 2000 Civic Si
This car was built completely in house by Full Race. It has come to our attention that a few people do not believe us, or someone else is claiming credit. This is not the case, this car was built under our roof, with our hands, with our welder, on our drill press and on glen's conduit bender (circa 1972)
many of you guys have seen some pics from sema/ias but if you wanted to see more we have some in a gallery on our website at
http://www.full-race.com/images/gallery/race_car_2/
This car is designed to race in HotRod/Pro 4 Cyl class. It will be campaigned primarily for NOPI/NDRA
it has a full 4130 cromoly SFI 25.5 backhalf tube chassis. Stock A/B pillars, factory firewall, solid axle (only 36 lbs), custom fabricated spindles to our spec (courtesy of fabman), full race air to water heat exchanger contained in one aluminum box, this car also uses our strip bar radius arm suspension geometry.
Full Race did the entire roll cage, the backhalf, all chassis work in the front end, radius arm geometry, the motor mounts, all the suspension design, the rear axle, seat mounts/pedal mounts/seatbelt mounts, wheelie bar mounts, air to water intercooler reservoir box thing, we re-designed the wheelie bars and last but not least the turbo manifold.
We also employed some creative thinking on the wheelie bar setup, and we feel this is probably the stiffest chassis around right now (im eager to see the rage/nuformz EG Hatch tho!!) We can easily pick the car up by one wheelie bar wheel and bounce the chassis around, it doesnt bend/flex at all
