Default removing fuse when installing new part.

i read something a few months ago on how to mod your comp everyytime you install a new perf part.if i remember correctly it said to start my car and quickly turn off and remove a fuse under the hood for 1-2 min.i forgot which one.then replace and restart car.this will reset the comp to identfy a new part was install and adjust air flow mix.has anyone heard of this?i tryed it when i installed my intake.please leave feed back...thks.
