Default B18b buildup advice wanted

Internally, aside from forged rods and pistons, what parts should be upgraded for a high boost/ high horsepower application?

I've heard that the head is a big limiting factor, but I also don't know about the port size. Valvetrain/cams etc...?

sleeve it, and get it taped for VTACHH y0. a GSR or ITR head is gonna be a better way to go with the head than just port and polishing the LS head.

Well I've seen quite a few setups making the power I want (400whp) using the LS head. They just didnt give specifics on internals.

how much u wanna spend?

if u have limited budget LIKE ME...i have...
forged rods
forged pistons
stock crank (u can get over 700 hp on stock crank FYI)
block guard

if u have unlimited budget...u can get...
forged rods
forged pistons
stock crank (u'll never need anything more than stock crank)
darton MID sleeves!! (my dream)
turbo cams
titanium springs
titanium retainers
heck...titanium valves

those should put u well over 400 hp easy. im only boosting 7 psi on what i have now and thats good enough for me.

dont do any head work, just up the boost, it does the same thing in effect.

please explain why.

let more air into the cylinders, or let more air into the cylinders. two different methods of achieving the samething.

EDIT: I guess when you say high boost high hp, i'm assuming like 18- 23lbs, anything more than that, i would start to think upgrade the other stuff.

You really have to switch to vtec head if you want to use your LS ones. To achieve your goal, you can get some serious headwork and you'll make the same hp level as vtec head does.
