1997 AUTO PRELUDE OR 2000 5SP Accord coupe sohc vtec?
Prelude - bad tranny especially with the 97. good engine though, expensive insurance compared to accords.
Accord - reliable car but a little underpowered. Less insurance.
I say the Accord but that's just because of the circumstances. Lower mileage is always better ofcourse.

it all depends on what you want to do...or you could go with a accord with a h23 block and a h22 head...but thats just me....if you want show quality and cruise car...i say accord...if speed and other things lude....but id go with what ever is cheaper on insurance

The Prelude engine is leaking oil bad. Seems to be coming from the timing belt area. The a/c only gets cold once you are driving, but blows hot at idle. Common problems? The Accord has more miles (145,000) but is really clean in and out. The Prelude has leather and sunroof, the Accord is cloth with hardtop. I can boost the Accord just as easily as the Prelude. Same turbo setup (fmax). The Accord gets around 250-260 at the wheels with the turbo. What does a simple turbo set up do for the Prelude?
wrong. you can't boost the prelude as easily. Prelude has FRM sleeves and weak ringlands you need to be very careful about tuning.
If you want to turbo a car why don't you buy a frickin turbo car.
