Default Honda 180i

Hey there guys.
I am new to this site and from South Africa where there are many honda lovers!
we dont name our honda the same way as you guys but they are the same.

I have a Honda Ballade 180i (you guys call them the civic) and have done a few mods but nothing too hectic..
I am wondering what you guys do on the 1/4 mile???? my best time was 16.2
only mods are cone air filter, uni-chip,and exhaust sytem.

power to the honda

do you guys have alot of problems with turbos on the honda's?
here there are not many successfull turbo honda's, people mess them up.
a few people are putting a v-tec head on the 1800cc block, which runs well for a month or so.

Turbo and Honda aren't usually associated with each other, but I think we've got it pretty much figured out. If you wanted to go that route you have a lot of overseas friend to help.

As for the VTEC head on an 1800cc block, the setup your reffering to is called LS/VTEC or sometimes Frankenstein (not sure if the name is still relevent though).
Just use the search button for all your information needs and you should be good to go.

Thanks alot.. I will be asking your advise on honda performance.
I have been looking at a few options, Jackson Supercharger or Turbo, but like i said there have only been a few honda drivers here that i know have put on turbos and most of them have either blown the motor or taken them off due to too much trouble.

Here are some helpful links to get you started:

General Swap Info
Hybrid Forum
Search

Start with these. If you guys are new to Honda's and you don't have much local support for performance, I'd recommend a swap or a ready-made bolton turbo kit. Anything else is going to be a really big headache for people new to the scene.
