Default Nitrous on an auto trans?

Can a 2001 Civic Ex automatic trans. handle much nitrous? I'm thinking I'll just put a 55 shot . I just want to give this car a little more go when I need it, not drag race it. I'm just not sure if the auto can handle it.

Should be fine. I've seen people run 75 shots on stock trannies and had no problems. Just don't get stupid with it.

It should be fine. I have an auto 2001 accord turbo with just a tranny cooler and it's running just fine. Just don't beat on it and it won't beat on you.

are the civics still 4spd or are they 5spd autos? The 5spd autos are known for shitting the bed on stock cars. Tranny coolers are recommended.
