here's the story, drove my car to go eat at yoshinoya, came out no lights were left on, and my car wouldn't start. I was able to bump start it and once it was on I let it idle for a while to recharge the battery. Then I noticed the idle seemed to be dying on me, so I drove it straight home. Once it was at my house, I shut it off and immediately tried to start it...no luck. To me it seemed like an alternator problem, but I took it out and had it tested and it was perfectly fine. I also had my battery checked to see if it was holding the right voltage and it too was fine. I have almost ruled out the alternator since the battery would have been drained out completely on the drive home from where I was. The lights are also dim when in the key is turned to acc.

Sorry for the long story but does anyone have any idea what it could be? i also figured it couldn't be anything inside or the actual distributor itself since the car drives fine once started. Please, any ideas would help me out. I haven't driven my baby for a week and a half, and this after not having it for months a few months ago.

does it try to turn over the engine or does nuthing happen at all..... maybe sum kinda problem with ignition?

 

Check all your electrics (connections) A plug could be loose. Starter bush could be worn maybe?

 

Am I wrong in assuming that if the starter bush was worn, it should not be causing my sights to dim?
