93 civic TRIPPIN..need help!!!!!!!!

Default 93 civic TRIPPIN..need help!!!!!!!!

a while back in my 93 civic with stock d15 while i was driving it, the RPM gauge started to start jumping up like 500-1000 rpms while im driving and the car starts to jerk too and it doesnt feel right. and when i step on the gas full throttle is jumps and feels like the car is bout to stall. and not to mention my dad was driving it not to long ago and it just cut off on him while he was driving. ANY SUGGEStiOns on whats wrong??????????????

When was the last tuneup it got? Are you throwing any codes?

we last did a tune up on it like 4 months ago BUT after tune up it was still acting up so we just put it in the garage and let it sit their ever since cause money is short....thnx for the tip on the new poll thingy...next time

Before my timing belt snapped, my car would feel like it would stall when I had it full throttle, and jump like that. Make sure your timing belt isn't due for replacement anytime soon, if it is, change it.

i was thinkin it was cause since my brother got the car, he hasnt changed the belt. (my cAr: 89 crEx SoHc ZC JdM)

Get a timing light and see where your timing is at. Also if you guys havent done a timing belt/water pump change and the car is over 100k then do that.

yup even fuel filter..OH YEA, when we changed it, the fuel was like brown and **** and the first time it was like mud looking. but even when we changed it we kept on cleaning it and it kept on doing the same thing

Igniter. Swap distributors with someone to try it out, see if it solves the problem. They go bad frequently on Hondas and can cause severe hesitation, erratic RPM, and loss of power/shut down.

same thing happend in my 95 lx it was the ignition switch. I had just bought the car and the dealer took care of it for they said it cost like 235 bucks.
