yes they did. If you decide to take the spoiler off you'll have to figure out a way to get a 3rd brake light in there somewhere, unless you're not worried about your car being illegal.

Yea it is in the back window. You can buy one from a LS owner that has a spoiler (added on as an option) and plug it up to your car for ~$50 I think

I thought you had to drill holes in the hatch window to attach it. Is it a direct plug in and play?

Yea im sure i would never have a problem but me being stupid and drinking and driving like once a month would prolly get pulled over that night for two brake lights

It's illegal not to have a 3rd brake light. It has to be in a spoiler or rear window.
