Default 95 Prelude lowering issues

I have recently purchased a 95 prelude that was lowered by the previous owner. Using a matrix coil over kit [08-200 printed on side of box, if important], he lowered the car I believe.. 2.25 inches. Now I love the stance the vehicle has, but the ride is so horrible and bouncy its genuinly unsafe; the control of the vehicle is compromised.
Now while I do have the origional springs or coils, if theres a diffrence between the two, I dont know - I would like to keep the current height of the vehicle while improving the ride quality, but dont know how to aproach the problem. Do I need new shocks? Other new components? If so, which ones exactly do I need and where can I attain them?
Any help is very much apreciated, the car simply isn't a joy to ride with the suspension problem.
Thank you.

usally a bouncy ride can be fixed with some crazy shocks. get some good adjustable shocks, shop around. im not really sure which is the most stiff shock, but i like BUMPY rides, where you can feel the road and the turns. not bouncy.

You are probably riding on stock shocks.

If I were you, I would do it right. Get a new set of shocks and maybe some Ground Control coilover sleeves.

I have a set of KYB AGX adjustable shocks for sale. Email me if you are interested.

I agree about you probably having stock shocks and you should upgrade to some stiffer ones, and I also agree with AndyD about getting some better coilovers.

As far as shocks go I have KYB AGXs they work and hold up great and they still give me a nice ride. Tokicos are supposed to be better but I think KYB AGXs are good for the money.

Coilovers - You should get some Ground Controls or Skunk 2s. I still have some coilovers sitting around hear some place but I decided to go with H&R springs for my ride and also for the quality.
