Well the H23 has a groove on each cam, but it also has labels on the cam.

I believe the H22 also has a groove on each end, but I couldn't see any markings; I am trying to know how to tell them apart, w/ the assumption that they both have the dizzy grooves.

Yep; I saw the groove on both H23 cams; that's why i started thinking the H22 had it on both, also.

I shoulda just went and pulled the cam seal off the end and checked it myself........guess I was too lazy. Hmph.

Guess I'll start pokin around in the motor again tomorrow night........

I have a H23 set in my garage right now. Both have the distributer notch on the end of the shaft. I noticed that last week when I was looking into H23 regrinds. I figured that I could rekey another Intake cam and have it reground for an exhaust cam. Figured that it might be better for a regrind as an exhaust since his has more material to work with.

My old stock H22 cams though do not have the notch on both. Just the exhaust cam has the notch. another way to tell is to get some calipers and measure the intake vtec lobe vs. the exhaust vtec lobe. the intake is bigger.
