Idle RPMs are around 200-400???
The car is my mom's 96 LS Auto. At idle, it sits very low on the tach, otherwise is still making about as much power as can be expected for a 9 year old car with 145K miles.
I know its not the idle control valve because if you start it up cold then it keeps them higher around 8 or 9 hundred and then drops them to the 2-3 hundred level.
What do you guys think this could be?

even the cold idle is too low. should be about 1200rpm. the idle needs to be adjusted a little. i personally have never done that, the dealership does that when i take my 90 in for service(yeah yeah, i know...the dealership costs more money). but, i'm sure someone will chime in on how to take care of that. should be a screw.

Yea, on my car it jumps upto the 1200-1500 range...

go to http://www.team-integra.com in the article section, they have a write up on how to adjust teh idle.
you are about 500 to low.
you are about 500 to low.
All it is is just a screw on the throttlebody. Use a flat head screwdriver and unscrew it a little. Not hard to do at all. There might be some gel stuff over the screw if its never been adjusted before.
Do you guys think that the idle could just fall like this for no reason?
I know I could adjust the idle but that would only be a temporary fix for some potentially serious problems inside the engine or some of the engine components....
Can anyone think of anything that could be causing this (bad spark plugs, bad wires, bad fuel filter, dirty injectors, etc.) ?

All the above including cap and rotor.

weve never taken the car in for dealer service...and other than a faulty ABS sensor, there isnt a single thing wrong with the car; other than the visual defects that collect over 9 years.
What would you suggest looking into first for correcting this problem?
