Default high speed braking, fluid amount.

first:
i drive fast, late at night. i have earls ss powerstop xdrilled and slotted rotors with axxis ultimates.

second, when driving from like 130+mph and braking to roughly 60-80mph, will the brake fluid actually evaporate because of the heat?

im wondering because i had a lot of brake fluid, and now it seems low. my brakes worked fine when i had all this done. now since there is low fluid, it seems the brake pedal travel goes down further.

the question is, does the fluid "leave" or "evaporate" or do i have a leak in the brake lines, or they're not on properly? they worked very very well before. or maybe i have a lot of pedal travel because the lack of fluid?

this is odd, because i dont know why i would have a lack of fluid after it was full a week or two ago, UNLESS the high speed/aggressive braking would cause this.

edit: i posted this here because i have a CRX, i dont know what other forum this question would've been appropriate for.

It will turn into gas if inside the lines if it gets real hot but it should turn back into liquid once it cools down. Usually you see brake fluid go down if you have worn out pads.

Ive never heard of brake fluid turning to gas.

Only thing that I can think of is similar to the braking issue a few threads down: dirt, oil or air in the lines.

You may have a small leak somewhere in your brake system. Id do an extensive check to make sure you arent leaking, thus allowing dirt or oil to get into your brake system. Once you check everything real well, rebleed your system and top off with fresh fluid.

See if it happens again, if it does then you got me. Could be your master cylinder giving out under high brake fluid temps, but then that would lead us back to a leak, so I would start with that theory.
