Default new cylinder head and valves....

Hey guys...i was just wanted to check with you guys on something. I just got my car back today with a new cylinder head and valves; I was wondering if it's absolutely crucial that I baby the motor for awhile before romping on it again....and also how long should I take it easy on the motor ...thanks.

It can't hurt to go easy for 500 miles...

Since there is nothing to seat, I dont see why there should be any break-in. As long as the headgasket was torqued properly, I dont see any reason to going all ***** right away.

"Since there is nothing to seat,"

Valves/valve seats?

A little gentle time won't hurt.

there is no break in for valve seats being that there is no friction between the valve seat and valve itself. Now if you mean the valve guide and the valve stem, yes friction, no breakin required. drive it like you stole it...
