Totalled ITR's... How much was your buyback.
Well unfortunately I got into an accident late last night and the Type R took some major damage. I was driving to a friends house at 12am in the morning and was almost there when somehow I lost control of the vehicle. The back end lost traction and spun right. I turned the wheel right to try and correct, but it was too late. I was headed 45 mph straight towards a curb. I hit the curb and both the airbags popped... but that was not the end... after the curb I clipped a street lamp and proceeded to take out a bush. After I got done taking care of the shrubbery, I decided to end this little out of control spin by plowing into the side of an older (92-95) Civic Sedan. The civic was immediately deemed by the officers as totalled. My car the officer wasnt sure about.
Well we went and took a look at it today and a progressive insurance guy was at the same place doing an estimate on another car. He took one look at my car and said "thats definitely totalled." Then he proceeded to tell me that if i buy it back from my insurance, that he would buy it off me for twice as much. He must have thought that i didnt know anything about cars or something. Anyways, I am interested in how much the buyback will be for it, and State Farm (my insurance co.) is not really telling me anything. So my question is, to the people that have totalled their R's before, how much did insurance charge you to buy back your Wrecked R. Im definitely going to want to buy it back and either part it out, or sell it on ebay or something. Just dont know as to what kinda money im gonna have to throw out to get it back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if you know of anyone selling another R, I guess i'll be in the market for one relatively soon.

Dumbass, that is exactly what he is asking. How much do you think insurance will charge him to buy it back. If you dont have anything positive to add to the thread, keep your mouth shut.

As the owner, you have the right at the first offer of buyback from your insurance company Before it goes to auction.
Ask me whatever you like I'll try to help or answer your questions as best as possible.
