Default Air Cond help bay area

I have a 90 teg and from what i have read it has the R-12 ac and it blows hot air! i wanted to fix this my self but the book i have says the r-12 shoudl be dealt with by a air cond technician, which i am not. any recomendations on how i could re charge it myself or good shops in the bay area?

the proper/legal way it to get it vacuumed out by a r12 serviceable location, r12 and the oil/oil residue.

if all of the gas is gone, you need to find the leak.

some oils dont like to mix together, so the proper thing to do is vacuum it all out. Ive forgone this before and it turned out fine, so ill let you decide.

you can buy a r134a retrofit kit and do it yourself ~30$. all it is, is 2 adapters you put on high and low ports and a few cans of r134a.
