i am doing a jdm front conversion..

i am just wondering.. since the fenders are longer.. i heard there is a gap with the fender liner...


so for those of you that did the JDM conversion... did you also get the jdm fender liner?

if not.. do u have pix of how it looks with the usdm fender liners?

 

you use the same fender liner

 

the usdm fender liner doesnt line up on the jdm conversion. if you want it right get the jdm one... i just kinda rigged mine so it fit, up front under the bumper cover there is nowhere to screw the liner into.... the contours arent quite the same, but i have a CAI so i had to do something to cover it up.

 

ok...

so i CAN use the usdm fender liners.. but there would be a gap?

or.. i could buy jdm fender liners and there will be no gap....

 

another question...

can someone who done the jdm front conversion post pix of the install???

like showing how you installed the bumper support and rebar...?

 

I used the USDM fender liner on my JDM front end....I personally see no problems...small gap..but other than that.. I dunno..no big deal.. my cars a 94 .. its a dinosaur..I've come to accept those small imperfections

 

just use usdm fender liners, that's what 99% of us jdm itr front end owners do, and it works well enough.

i dont have a pic on hand, but TRUST me its not even worth mentioning. i know you sound so concerned about it and all but the gap isn't even a big deal.

 

but for a perfectionist like me, it bugs the hell out of me.. lol .. anyways.. here ya go.. notice how i had to tuck the fender liner up and in the bumper cover....

no where to to bolt.. tucked in the fender


tucked under the front



since everything is tucked i had to tuck it here and bolt it this way..
