Default H&R Sport Springs on 99 SI

Well, I've decided to buy H&R Sport Springs for my 99 SIR.
They lower 1.75"F and 1.5"R.
I am planning to run these on my stock shocks.

What are your opinions on this? Will I need camber kit possibly?
Would you suggest something else?

I am just going for a nice drop. Nothing too much, just a drop for every-day driving.
Here's the car:

You should be fine without a camber kit, I have been for the last year. I think getting new shocks is always a good idea, but not always necessary. You can probably go with stock shocks until they blow.

You should get a camberkit. I have H&R sports on my Si and Tokico blue shocks. I was lazy to get the camberkit installed and all my tires had camber wear afterawhile. I have a Progress ball-joint camber kit and its suffiecent for the job

the camber kit isn't absolutely necessary, but definitely helps out on tire wear.

I'd do the shocks at the same time if you can swing it, you'll have everything apart already. Do it right the first time and never have to do it again.

u shouldnt really need camber kit in the front, but u should shim out the rear with 2 washers.

Well, I would do the shocks too, but I am low on $ right now so I guess that will have to wait.

What do you guys think of TEIN S Tech springs, compared to H&R

I have that setup on my car, and I would recomend against it...

It's a nice drop, but it's too bouncy on stock shocks. I'm ditching them in favor of full coilovers. BTW, I need camber kits for my car, and the drop is lower and less even than advertised... (about -2" in the front, and -1.5" in the back)

it will look nice but the ride quality will most likely suck

Your right, it is a bit bouncy with the stock struts.

springs determin ride height, the struts determin if your gonna hit your head on your ceiling after every bump you go over..

99 Si, H&R Sports, oem shocks. Does show camber wear but not very bad without a camber kit. To me it is worth it for the stance it is given and how it handles.

No one said you were going to have a boundy ride, just that the struts don't have any effect on ride height, just how much bounce there is. With H&R sports and stock struts that are blown I have very very little bounce and only on big bumps and such. Still a very acceptable ride.

If you are talking about the EBP EM1 I posted I assure you they are sports since it is my car. There was some confusion a while back on which they were but I checked and they are black, definatly sports.
