Default tranny question?

Here it is. i bought a JDM ITR 4.78 tranny off of my friend's friend. i had a shop here in sacramento, cali install it. Along with a new exedy clutch and a Fandaza aluminum flywheel. They also installed a new shift linkage.

Ok here is the problem, The shop calls me and tells me that my 3rd gear doesn't work. Every gear works great no grinds or anything but when you put it in third it goes in. But when you give it gas it pops out of gear. What could be the problem? i got too many people saying a lot of different things. can anyone really help me cus someone is going to get a hot flaming bag of crap slapped on their face!!!!

I'm by far a technician, but check to see if the forks are not damaged. Not the shift fork, but the fork inside the tranny. part number is 24210-P80-V00.

This is what I have been hearing:

1) Syncros
2) Fork (either the shifting fork or the fork in the tranny)
3) Shift linkage
4) Tranny fluid (either too much/too little, not good enough quality..)

Could you explain why it could be the syncros?? I'm just trying to figure out what the hell it is... I'm pissed the f**k off; first the clutch, then the flywheel, now the tranny!

Today, I have to bring it into the shop to have them try to figure out what the heck is wrong with it...It's either the person who sold it to me or the shop that installed it the f'd me over!
