I have a 91 civic cx and am putting in an aftermarket tach. Its an autometer monster tach, now i don't really wanna put it on the dash, I need another location. If u have any pictures of where ur tach is mounted please post them so i can get some ideas. thanks

my tach is mounted in my gauge cluster.

oh yeah, i forgot, its becuase its the stock tach.

I do have an autometer clone shift light mounted on my cluster hood, attached to an msd rpm activated switch.

You dont need to see the tach if you can see the shift light

 

yes i know i don't need a tach if i have a shift light. But the car had it when i bought it, so. . . . . . if i got it i might as well use it. right??? just wanted sum suggestions, thats all. thanks for the B.S. anyways

 

keep in mind.. a track car.. right now its inop, being painted, and going through some JDM changes... but my daily would NEVER have this much **** in it.. but thats where i mounted my tach.

hey man thats honda tech though. take it with a grain of salt.

 

Here's mine, and those tachs are essential for good tuning because honda factory tachs are notoriously inaccurate.

I used to have a monster tach mounted on my dash to the right side of the dash, right above the clock or the vent. I took it out because it was attracting to much attention and people looking in my car. And the damn thing was to big and noticable. Does anyone have any alternative to these big tachs? Since the stock tach is junk.

 

I've seen small tachs that mount in the larger gauge pillar pods, looked nice!

oem tach's are innacurate, ever notice before? I'd try mounting it in place of the stock tach, even if it needed to have the gauge hood cut up to fit.

 

I mounted mine on the right side of the guage cluster hood, I don't have any pics on hand.

where do i wire the tach to ?

 

now, see, if you had an oem cluster with a tach in that, you can just plug **** in, instead of having to rip wires out, who cares if its off by a few rpm, its sleeeeeeeeper

 

its a canadian car

 

as is mine, canadian made cx, the si gauge cluster plugged right in, nothing special needed

not ball busting, but how in the hell are you going to be able to see the tach when driving?
