Default installing a new muffler...

i just recently got a new muffler off of ebay. i want to replace my muzzy with this one, but don't know how...hehehe...oh also..it's just the muffler...i saw some pics on the net nd some of the other mufflers have that lil pipe coming out of it...mine didnt come wit it...can i use the existing pipe of the muzzy or do i have to buy that part tooo...sorry for the newbie question..oh it's a 97cbr900.. tnx in advance...

Its either three bolts at the muffler or two bolts on the pipe tucked underneath the lower fairing... that and the passenger footpeg bolt that holds the clamp that holds the muffler... its really a 5 min job at most.

i think he's saying that he has a muzzy slip on/exhaust and bought a universal muffler off of ebay and wants to put it on. The universal ones dont have an outlet pipe or flange.

What you could do is go to a muffler shop and have them weld on a small piece of pipe just like your muzzy one then slip it back on the bike just like the muzzy. Or if you have a welder you could do it yourself like me
