.....I did a jdm b16 swap into an eg DX hatchback. get everything timed right, motor is running good and everything, but it just doesnt pull like it should. vtec opens up real loud, but nothing pulls hard. we did everything needed for the start-up warranty from hmotors (car, rotor, plugs/wires, tbelt, h2o pump, etc) along with draining the gas and putting 92 octane in there along with a new SI fuel pump (because we dont know how long it had been sitting). i throw no codes now that the knock sensor is in, and it still doesnt pull. it has everyone i talk to stumped. please help me honda gurus!

should be the p30 that came with the complete swap from hmotors. and it gets really really loud at a decent midrange rpm (not sure, havent gotten the tach yet) but nothing happens.
Do a compression or leak down test. And let us know what the numbers are. Are you still running stock parts? Like intake, exhaust, exhaust manifold. Maybe some aftermarket upgrades. If I was still in Nebraska I would help you out.
i think u're just expecting way too much out of a stock b16, maybe do some bolt ons, CAI, header, exhaust ect. then u'll feel a difference.

that'd make me double check the timing again, then the compression check ordeal

That could actually lead you to the problem, maybe it's missing up top, you'll see that on the dyno chart. The $100 is well worth it imo.
Also if your making the rite power for the motor (within spec) then you know nothing wrong....you may just be expecting to much out of it....

I run the stock dx exhaust on my b16a2... I think thats far from the problem, try a compression test or just go to a dyno , you just gotta suck it up and do it , its not going to get done just sitting there
