Default Del Sol Question

my friend installed a timing belt on a autmatic del sol si SOHC vtec model and ptu a AEM cam gear on it set at 0 just for looks but the problem is he set everything to honda spec TDC all around put everything back together and the car Idles at 6000 rpm sounds like motors bout to launch at the track what could be the problem i looked the car over and it all looked correct..... any suggestions

check the throttle body area

throttle body area is fine nothing is holding throttle open at all its very weird

and theres no vaccum leaks either i find this very strange could the timing belt be off a couple teeth do this? cause im bout to tell him to jsut try to do the job again

If the teeth was off by alittle then it wouldnt run and would be buckling and you would be damaging the valves also

well he said problem is now fixed like someone stated above the throttle cable was way tooooooo tight thanx everyone
