Q:Loud ticking after shut off?

After I shut the car off it ticks really loudly, for quite a while, as it cools down. What's making the noise?

think its jsut your exhaust cooling down my car does it too

yeah..its most likely the exhaust..no worries here..
to be scientific..i believe the expanded metal from the exhaust is shrinking back to size
