removing side airbags in RSX seats
has anyone put RSX seats in their teg or civ and completely gutted the airbag system in there? these seats are heavy and i need to lighten them up a bit. i've heard of people doing this and putting a carbon fiber filler type piece over the hole, but that's about the extent of what i've heard. not much detail huh?
i'm not really sure if this is a question or not. i'd just like to hear some feedback. if someone has done this and knows what to do, i'd really like to pull you aside and chat with you one on one. and yes, some people will say that its not worth it and the weight won't amount to enough to make it worth the time and money for the filler, but i'd like to find out the hard way.
every little bit of weight helps, right? if i can take 5-10 pounds out of each seat, i'll be happy. i'm getting a carbon fiber hood soon too, so whatever weight i can remove that i'm not using will put a smile on my face.
hope someone has done this before.

No, nobody knows anything about this because RSX seats are a pain in the *** to put in the teg. If you could just bolt up different sliders/rails it would be great, but you cant, so almost nobody does it. Go to the RSX forum(or http://www.clubrsx.com ) and Im sure you will get a response.
