51 miles thats insane. I don't understand how the intake could take away 200 miles from you. I usually get 250 also with an AEM CAI. I think it might be something else. Sorry i didn't help much.

maybe ur gas tank is leaking...might want to check it or something. 51 miles per tank is insane.

Damn!!!! I get 236 on a full tank. Qut is ur intake the size of you engine? Does it have black smoke coming out of the tail pipe. If you do then you may want to find out why. Or your cas tank is the size of a lawn mower's tank.

if your mechanic sais that the intake is the sole cause of getting 51 miles/full tank of gas, he should never be allowed to touch a car again

perhaps your valves are terribly out of adjustment, your ingition is messed up and there's something wrong with your ecu. Mabe something messed up the sensors (more then just the o2 sensor, that's for sure). It could be a combination of a lot of things, but 50 miles per tank is unheard of. I couldn't get that low a milage if I tried

I don't think its your intake, and switching it out for a name brand one wouldn't make much of a difference in gas mileage/power.

its not your intake. unless there is no filter and its suckin up dirt like a **** haha

try having your fuel filter changed. replace the intake filter with a new one if its dirty. replace your spark plugs and maybe your sprak plug wires. i bet that will solve your problem. if not, its something else restricting your fuel. maybe a leak. but its not noticable or you cant smell any leaks.. its something you can figure out easily. you can always get a fuel guage and make sure youre getting proper fuel delivery to the fuel rail. piece of cake.

I got an integra 95 Ls. I got an e-bay intake because I saved over $100 by not buying an AEM which could gain me maybe "a" extra horse. In any cause gas milage has been the same. Their is no reason why that intake should efect anything. If the intake did something wrong it didn't filter something which got on your injectors, or worse, on the valves or somewhere else (OUCH). In any case that could be a problem but the intake sure isn't. I have a stock one I can sell you if you want.

The only real reason an intake is going to effect your MPG at all is because your going to take off all the to hear the intake. :D How many gallons did you fill it up to?

Or is your gas light coming on too early? How does the car run? Feel weak? Sound weird? I don't know.. thats fairly strange. Keep us posted.

go to hilltop acura in DC, get your car checked out. Tell them you get 51 miles on a full tank. Shoot, people get more than that boosting. With the money you are wasting on gas, you rather spend it and get your car checked out.

Well, when my car had shitty gas mileage, the vacuum line to my MAF sensor mysteriously became un-plugged, and my o2 sensor was bad. Those two also cause you to run extremely rich(I was spitting flames and raw fuel from my exhaust) Also, if you are still rich after those 2 are ruled out, it could be a sticky EGR valve.

are u forgetting to shift out of first????? Thats the only explanation I have for 51 miles to the tank. Hell I got around 350 when going to Florida. Hell yeah stock GSR. When you fix it I want to know what was wrong.

if the previous owner was a ebay ***** he must have got one of them diodode (sp?) things that you stick in the IAT sensor. I have seen cars that run really pure cause they got that lil thing in there sensor. Once that is taken out it should be back to normal if it is installed...if it isnt installed good luck on finding out your prob..
