Those going to NASA at BeaveRun - want more track time for cheap?
There is a National Prelude Meet being held at BeaveRun on Friday, June 4th. There are still a few spots available and they are trying to get them all sold ASAP. This will be run like an HPDE with novice, intermediate, and advanced groups. I believe they are aiming for at least 4 runs of 20 minutes each, for each group. Great way to learn the track for race day and it's super cheap - $100! All car types welcome.

I signed up today. While reading about that track on their forum, it seems that Prelude owners really need to do brake upgrades for this track...is my GSR going to have the same problem? It's all stock brake equipment for now...

go to http://www.cobaltfriction.com and get yourself some proper pads and fluid and then enjoy your track day.

Well there is a mandatory drivers meeting/class at 7:00am that day. If there was still a spot and you brought $100 in cash they'd probably let you in but I'd contact the organizers first.

axis ultimates = toasted pads too!!
Prior to having my ITR and tracking it, I owned a Bb6. I would be careful goin to this event. I have talked to a few mods on PreludeOnline.com and not even those who do track events are attending b/c most of the persons signed up to attend are younger prelude owners that have no experience at all. I am told instructors are not a plentiful thing at this event either.
For those who have NOT been to BeaveRun-it is a 1.6 mile road course with a number of elevation changes. The turns require good brakes. Turn 7 is blind on entry. Our 99 Prelude has not encountered any real issues with its stock rotors and AEM/Nissin pads in HPDE use. You will want to consider the tires you plan to use as this track was a bit abrasive last year. Our CRX does not have any serious braking problems there either. If you are truly concerned then upgrade the pads and flush the brake fluid.
BTW: The weather in our area can be odd at time-come prepared.
