My god damn moonroof rail isn't opening up high enough when the glass is on and it is resulting in this:


This is the height it opens at when the glass is off and is good for clearance:


This is approximately the height when weighted by the glass:

Not enough clearance.

Now I pretty much know what the problem is here. The passenger slider moves easily when forced. I just need the details of what it is that is not working properly so I can fix it. It's hard to explain what I mean when I say it moves, so I made a shitty video:

You can see I can move the slider while the rail isn't suppose to be moving. The driver side won't even budge.
So what could it be? Possibly something loose?
Please help. Any kind of help is appreciated.

the sliders move on little fragile plastic ramps
look at those really carefully and on the track for broken pieces.
Did you remove any parts other than the glass?

its gotta be one of these maybe the stopper on the anchor?

 

just get a new sunroof from the junk yard, thats what i did. then sell your old sunroof glass on ebay. I paid 100 for my sunroof complete from a junk yard, and then sold my old one to a guy who just needed the glass for 60 bucks.

 

I got a new one from a junkyard to. It sits in there with 6 bolts.
