DC ceramic 4-1 OR 4-2-1 header for D16A6???
i'm trying to decide whether to go with the 4-1 or 4-2-1 header for my 89 crx hf w\D16A6. on my old 88 crx hf that had a d16a6 i bolted on a 4-2-1 header from dc sports and was not disappointed. the mid-range power from that header helped out a lot. but i was curious on how well the 4-1 header would perform for this motor. i know the high end would improve for a b16 but this d16 motor is more about low-mid range power from what i've seen. i do plan on getting a cam and some p29 pistons later on so i'm trying to keep that in mind when deciding what header to get. ok well any opinions or help guys? ok thanks a bunch!

I have am currently running a 4-1 header on my dohc zc along with a RPT drag chip on my 90 pm6 ecu(courtesy of http://www.hyperducktuning.com) and the engine pulls very strong from 4k all the way to 7.5k where I shift. Some hp and tq was lost from off idle and up to 4k but the gains were worth it. Hope this helps man.
cool thanks for the input. yea....i'll be getting the exospeed racea6 cam along with a chip for my PM6 ecu so i can take it up to at least 8k rpm so i'm thinking the 4-1 would benefit mostly right? hmmmmmm
yes the 4-1 header would compliment that setup nicley, just remember to get your valvetrain upgraded to handle the higher rpm's. A set of arp rod bolts would be a good investment as well, the stock rod bolts will shear or break at 8k or so.
the ceramic header will make it harder for you to pass smog...
my header doesn't get the Cat hot enough, and my hydrocarbons are too high...
