i've got all the bolts loosened.. i just can't for the life of me remember the little "trick" to get the journals (or caps maybe) off the camshafts... without ******* them up that is....

 

if you can't wiggle them off with your fingers then get a small flathead screwdriver and LIGHTLY pry them off a little at a time on both sides. they have little dowel pins that hold them in there so they can be stubborn sometimes. just make sure you don't make any scares on the head or cam.

ok cool thank you very much.... first rebuild... i am confident i can do it ... i just dont want to run into anyproblems ANYWHERE so i'm being patient and cautious

what i do for the caps is get a thin rag and some vice grips and wiggle them off
