Default ** All SOHC fans, my first swap - the JDM D15B! **

Since I do not visit any other forums than this one, and since I have this forum to thank me for assisting me with my first swap - this is why I am posting this here...
so thank you to all that guided me through the swap process and also in answering all my questions that I had about Honda. Not to mention that the "SEARCH" function totally works instead of having to post a lot....

Here are the results from using all hand tools and working completely outside by myself on this swap:

The engine:

The donor car with D15B7 - blown head gasket

another pic of the D15B7:

Dirty Monkey!!

The results:

Mods:
Chipped P08 ECU
OBX header
OBX overdrive pulleys
Unorthodox crankcase pulley
MSD plug wires
Denso Iridum plugs
AEM CAI
...thats about it so far....

Congrat.

But why is your bay silver and your car white?
And what happened to that clean black valve cover?

Thank you very much...!

I wanted to keep the cover black, but the paint was chipped off in a few places. When I tried "unsucessfully" to repaint with some black wrinkle paint - it turned out really bad and I had to strip all the paint off the cover.... I didnt think it looked that bad so I just kept it silver.

The car is white and I have not yet started on the body yet - the engine and bay was the first to get the attention and the $$$

How do you tell the difference between a JDM D15B and a JDM ZC that is the equivalent of a D16Z6? Cuz mine is the latter but it looks exactly the same as yours. Does your block say "ZC"?

Its easier to get as it is the JDM equivalent of the D16Z6.

To the thread starter...nice work, glad to see you cleaned up your engine bay as well

Nice swap. Btw the stupid pose trend in the engine bay is getting a little old. Next time take a picture of a girl topless doing a handstand in front of the car.

I think I got it for about $750 that included shipping here is the guys info:

The OBX header is OK - especially for the price of about $100 but I really dont have anything else to compare it to.

It is actually a JDM D15B and it says that on the block
