Default fan speed resistor pack

Only my high speed works on my climate control. So I'm guessing that the resisitors have gone bad. Could anyone point me in the right direction before I rip apart the car?

If you remove your glove box, there should be something going into the heater ducting with a connector going into it. It is small and about 1"x0.5" when viewed from the back. If I remember correctly, it is held in by two screws. Take it out and you will see that the resistor pack consists of a bunch of exposed coiled wires. Chances are that either some crap is on it or the wires are touching each other; this affects the resistance read by the pack which affects the fan speed. If you clean off the debris and/or untangle the wires, this may solve your problem. If not, substitute one from a friend's Civic/Integra and see if that solves it. Good luck.
