Ok. Contest is a bit different this month.
If I can get 10 people from Honda-tech to sign up for the track day, one of you 10 will get a free track day. The drawing will be from only the people that sign up for the trackday from Honda-tech, so sign up! I will draw the name from the hat on June 17th, and the winner will have the money refunded to him at the track!
This will give everyone that is going to sign up a chance to sign up! I will notify you by PM and email, that you won and will get your money back at the track! Maybe you'll buy lunch with all that money!
We are going to be at Streets of Willow on June 18th. This is a good technical track to learn on because the speeds are not super fast. There is lots of run off room, and the track is very fun to learn on!
So, sign up, and win a trackday!
http://www.redlinetrackevents.com/
Also, if you can get 5 people to sign up using you as a reference, you will get a discount! The discount will depend on how many people you get to sign up with you as a reference, so talk to your friends and bring them out to the track!
For those of you that frequent the track, you know it's addicting! We are trying to addict as many as we can!
Please don't ask what the discount is, because it depends on how many people you bring in. Lets just say it will be pretty substantial. It will not be a 10% off coupon for the next event!
Any questions, please PM me or email me! prkiller@yahoo.com
Thanks and I hope I can give away another trackday this month!
Post a reply if you think you'll sign up and try to win!

There are so many people running track days, that it's nearly impossible to get a weekend unless your someone like NASA! You really need to be around for years, and create a "friendship" with the management to get the weekends you want. We are working very hard to get weekends, but the only track so far that has been easy to get weekends at is California Speedway.
Not enough interest has been generated about doing California, so it wont happen there until enough people actually want to do it. Cali is about 300 or so for the day, with 70-90 cars just to run the event!
We really want to run weekend events, but the only saturday this year so far is Spring Mountain on September 25th.

I haven't signed up yet but plan to make that event. I need to wait about a week to arrange my work schedule for that week, and also want to make sure my car is ready. I'm still eligible right?

redlinetrackevents.com is listed on the July Motor Trend as one of the sources for open track days in an article about various types of track driving/competition.
They even stated that they ran in the Focus Challenge TT that redline sanctions. Someone's Civic is also pictured running CCW at the sweeper down by the skid pad. July MT pg. 112.

I will obviously be there the 18th. My name is Jeremy, you won't be able to miss me. Just say hi!

Anyone have some details on this event? I curious as to whether there will be safety services(ambulance) at the track. Since it looks like there is passing in the turns, what are this risks for damage? If I bring my 88 CRX Si(may not have brakes done in time) I dont care too much, but I was thinking of bringing a newer car but don't want it getting beaten up.
I think if passing in turns is allowed it's for advanced group only. There is always emergency service at redline events as well as corner workers.
I'm sure prkiller will chime in, but from my experience "risk for damage" often times depends on the driver. Jus keep in mind that this is not W2W competition, so there's no point in forcing the issue trying to ge ahead of someone. Except for the Focus Challenge TT, there are no classes competing.
There's timing available so you can work on your own skills. Most of the time ppl will give point-by when a faster car comes up behind. I find it easier to just pull in the hot pit and wait for some room.

As Vitt1 already explained most of it, I will just sum it up!
There is NO passing in turns. This is already stated NOT RACING. It is just a safe, fun way to test the limits of your car without Johnny Law giving you a fat ticket!
The NO CONTACT rule is strickly enforced, and for the most part, people drive there cars to the track, and drive them to work on Monday, so they want to keep them shiney and clean!
If you have any more question, hopefully the website will answer them.

prkiller,
Thanks for the clarification. I read the website and that is why I was concerned, it stated that passing was allowed so I assumed it meant in turns.
I will definitely sign up within a few days.
