Default Problem with my CBR 600

I was driving my bike around and noticed a slight clicking sound coming from my engine and i was curious what that could be. As i kept driving the sound of my bike actually changed it started to sound deeper like something was jacked up with the exhaust. Does anyone know or have any suggestions as to why my bike is making these sounds.

Does it happen while you are accelerating? If so, it's engine knock.

it's called valve tick, or at least thats what we call it around here, you'll hear it specially on a new bike that hasn't had the valves adjusted. But you'll still hear it later cause it's a DOHC engine, listen to a DOHC car you'll here the valves tick if you have the hood open. At least you could on my 2 zx2's my dads 2 zx2's my buddies Integra another buddies Spec-V so I assume all DOHCs do it, reason it's more noticable on a bike is your sitting over and non sound absorbing compartment.

A lot of CBR's have had problems with their automatic timing chain tensioners and that could be the source of your problem.
