whats up everybody, i headed out to irwindale speedway tonight for my first trip to a drag strip ever with my 92 hatch. A little info on the car/motor

92 vx hatch - completely stock interior. no weight reduction.
b18a1 block - ITR pistons
b18c1 head - stock cams
skunk2 intake manifold
I/H/E
running on brand new toyo proxes4's with 15" rota circuit 8s....

anyway, on this vid i ended up running a 9.7 with a .600 reaction time and a 2.438 60 foot. i know thats horrible. yes this is an 1/8 mile track. i really need to work on my launching. anyway, plans are for an LSD to be dropped into that tranny soon, along with some CTR cams, 310cc injectors, a 255lph walbro pump and a dyno-tune session. It was my first time at a drag too. I ran a best of 15.3 at 87 mph.
I have a b16 (usdm) EK hatch with 16" fn01-r wrapped in kumho. i have i/h/e. My buddy ran a 15.1 with it. My best trap speed of the day was 90 mph. Does this seem normal?

 

if you're going to get an LSD i'd suggest getting some slicks, too

in a vx with slicks that's an easy low-mid 13

your mph seems really low... usually 95-96 mph seems normal to me
