Default Lets try this again.... LSD

Ok here was my first post
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=877677

obviously JL ILLUZIONZ cant read cause I was talking about an LSD modeled after the Phantom Grip....NOT THE PHANTOM GRIP.... that is made of a different material. I searched and it wasnt anywhere plus i dont know the exact name...its like TraceTrac or something.

My question is has anyone used this EXACT one and is it any better than the PG?

i don't know why you're getting mad at me. out of common sense, you said its made similar as the Phantom Grip, but with different material. it doesn't matter what material its made out of, its the way its made. plus, you're buying something off of eBay that says, Phantom Grip "style". anything "style" off of eBay is bad, especially if its "styling" from a Phantom Grip. either way, you're going to get the same replies as the Phantom Grip did. which is why i sent you those links on the Phantom Grip.

at least somebody agrees with me, and has common sense.

haha and he calls me the loser . i'm not the one wanting to buy a Phantom Grip "style" LSD from eBay.

"Ph4n+oM GriP StYL3" or not, if it works the same way as a PG it will suffer from the same pitfalls.

It is a widely accepted fact among the auto enthusiast community that the PG is a bad idea. I know you are talking about a different "LSD" made with a different material, but that isn't the issue. The issue is how the component works.

A PG or similar device works by wedging itself against the spider gears. You are might as well throw a wrench in there. In such a situation one of two things can happen. Either the PG wears out and voila - open diff, or the spider gears take a beating and voila - ruined diff.

Have I owned one?
No.
Will I ever?
No.
Why?
Becuase research and common sense tells me it is a waste of time, a waste of money, and it may harm my transmission.

If you want to install one just to see how disappointed you'll be, that's up to you man.

ok this was a little better of an answer than "its a PG style" and thats all they said no explanation or any of that ****. Ok so why the hell is PG still in business if they are soo crappy and dont work?<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by silverEH2 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i dont understand why you want it..you said you dont care if it ***** up your tranny..well if you have money to throw around why not buy a quife

as is stated before i have 3 cable trannies and they throw them away 24/7 around here so why not try it if i can get it cheap

but im actually buying a JDM d15 tranny with the factory LSD, just wanted something that would get me to the track till the d15 came in
