3 busted cv joints in 1 week?
ok to start off i lowerd my car about a month ago, and earler this week my pass side cv axle started clicking, i got a civic si replacemnt axle used for 30$ i installed that and 2 days later it started clicking.
so i said screw it and bought a 70$ autozone lifetime warrenty one. ive had it in for 2 days, last night i wint to the track and got 4 runs in.
and today its clicking again WTF.
this is when im going strate at low speeds.
what would cause a 3 axles to start clicking all in the same week? im sure i installed it right, maby the cheep rebuilt axles are just that cheep?

did you check both axles if the cv boots are cracked. the cv boots are supposed to be packed with grease. once the boot is cracked and all the grease leaks out you start to hear that clicking noise when you turn.
I've heard that if you install them with the u-joints at too great of an angle, they can wear prematurely. I've also heard that there are some axles, I don't think a lifetime warranty one would be, but that some axles come greaseless and you have to pack it yourself, that could also be something. Obviously if it's bought sealed, then that's probably not the problem.
the boots where all fine, the 1s i got form autozone where alreay sealed boots so i dont think i need to pack them, im gona be going and braket racing tomarow so we will see if the axle holds up, if it dont im gona take it to a shop and see what they say.
they dont replace the bearings in the axls at most stores. The rebuilders take the best used parts they get out of other cores and build the reman ones from them. I got 2 mazda axles once that were broke and welded back together. This is on a protege stock i broke them in regular driving and autozone said they couldnt find my warranty so i was **** outa luck. Same rebuilders for autozone napa etc same part numbers also. I went to another autozone and had no problems finding warranty info on their computer go figure.

that's why you always keep receipts for lifetime warranty items.
Clicking when going straight? Are you sure it's the axle? Are you sure you replace the right one? Maybe it's the other axle that's bad. I personally would just replace both of them depending on how old the car is.
