I've heard about 5k in each color for each year.

No they are not all that rare.

On top of that it really doesn't have much to offer opposed to the ITR. Definetly should not be held with the same respect to rarity as an ITR.

not nearly as rare as an itr. But more so than a civic ex...lol. I LOVE mine. I have had it for 3 years. This is the longest I have owned any of my cars!

i would consider it rare based on the fact that it was only in production for two years. its not as "exclusive" as the type r, but more limited.

It's not as "rare" as the ITR; however, the old Si is a wonderful little car that perfectly epitomises what Honda is supposed to be about.

If you have one, it's something you can be proud of, and they're wonderful little cars.

It's a fat pig... get it right... I don't think they are "RARE" but they are rare compared to any other civic, or Honda in those years. to find one that isn't beat to ****, and has low miles is rare I can say that much. Id still take an ITR over my car, but only if it was white.

If they put a B18c5 in the Si..... How rare do you think they would be? Since I own the car, I love it to death. A simply turbo setup will drastically change anyones mind about it being a pig Being that I've only seen 1 ITR in my life in upstate NY, that gives you a understanding how rare they are.

P.S. I think cost determined the production numbers of each of these cars. Nobody wanted to pay the 20+ for the ITR so they opted for the cheaper Si.

It is'nt FBP though, it's Nighthawk Black Pearl iirc.

No, si's arent as rare as an itr, but I like mine just fine. Less likely to be stolen than an ITR, but still more likely than an EX or a hatch or something.

Rare compared to Type R? No.
But it depends on the circumstances. Go out and try to find yourself any EM1 (99-00 Si) and you can do it. Now go try to fine a stock one with a clear title. Little harder, eh?
Only 5k in each color a year. Now subtract the number that have been stolen, crashed, or modded and you have a very small number.
So is it rare then? Yes.

I would agree with the statement, and in my opinion the 99-00 were the best looking Si's ever available, the new ones look like ****.

A civic SiR is rare compared to a type-r. I live in a fairly small town compared to others (El Paso, Tx) and I have seen two rhd itrs and no Civic Sir's.

Also the b18c5 is a common swap for alot of people with money, but I have yet to see a b16b swap anywere or on any forums, for the fact that its more rare than a b18c5.
