how can you tell from what year motor it is by looking at the head?

how can you tell from what year motor it is by looking at the head?

There are numbers on the front of all B-series heads. Sort of like a 0/6 0/8 stamped on the front of the heads. How can we tell from this what year the motor came from?

0/0 = 2000

hmm sounds pretty logical but which code am i looking at? there are like 3 or 4 stamped on there.. the one to the right middle or left? thanks
