Default clutch problems

i drive a 88 crx dx. the clutch was slipping horribly, so i ordered a new oem exedy clutch from clutchcityonline.com. i replaced the clutch. every thing seemed fine until i put the car back together and tried to get the car into gear. the clutch wouldnt disengage. everything is moving, the clutch arm and all,but i cant get it into gear. we adjusted the clutch cable as far as it would go and it didnt help at all. the only problems i can think of are: wrong pressure plate, bad pressure plate, or stretched clutch cable, but i dont think that its the clutch cable. does any one out there have any ideas before i take the car apart and send back the clutch plate and pressure plate? thanks in advance for any info or advice you can give me.

When you ordered the clutch, did you specify that you had an 88?

hmmmm. make sure ur clutch cable isnt caught up on anything in your motor bay (which could stop it from moving freely). if all else fails call exedt and say wtf, they should have an answer for you. good luck.

Did you replace the throw out bearing, and did you make sure it was attached to the arm?
